Sheffield University Hockey Club is the largest sports society at the University of Sheffield, generally boasting around 250 members. The club has 7 women's teams in total with 5 of them and 4 men's being BUCS teams, there are 2 development squads, and a social hockey programme welcoming all abilities. Both our men's and women's 1XI and 2XI teams receive performance status funding in the form of strength & conditioning classes. We have a large presence amongst the university, holding weekly socials attended by members across the whole club. We additionally organise regular fundraising events to raise money for local charities.

The Sports Fair is on 22nd of September between 9am and 4pm where you can drop in any time to meet our executive committee, ask questions, and get signed up to trials.

Trials for both the men's and women's clubs are on the Sunday 25th September at Norton Sports Park. Coming to trials gives us the best chance in putting you in the most appropriate training squad for your ability. We accept absolutely all abilities!

If you miss or cannot make trials and still want to join, worry not! We welcome new members any time throughout the year. Please just contact the relevant club secretary or chair of selection and they will place you in a training squad and give you all the required information.

If you're more interested in the social scene that hockey provides then that is fine! As well as our social hockey training sessions, we also hold weekly socials, the biggest and most notorious of them being Wednesday nights.

Thanks to our sponsors Revolution Sheffield, we always start off our night here until eventually heading down West Street to the Students' Union for the ROAR sports night. Our aim, as it is every year, is to retain our 'ROAR legends' status by not missing a single ROAR night so if you like to dance the night away you've come to the right place. Social highlights for the year include: Pub Golf, Alcohol Olympics and our biannual black tie dinners.
