Charity Fundraisers
19/20 Season
10 of our club members ran the Sheffield Half marathon raising £1383 for Teenage Cancer Trust and Cardiac Risk in the Young over the Easter holidays.
For Breast Cancer Awareness month we wore pink to our training sessions raising £63 for Coppafeel! who help to ensure breast cancer is diagnosed early and correctly.
In December the women's club hosted team meals raising £123.20 for the local charity Roundabout that supports young people facing homelessness in Sheffield.
In February we hosted a whole club pub quiz raising £200 for Hockey for Heroes, who use hockey to raise funds for Help for Heroes, a charity which helps injured veterans and service personnel and supports them in rehabilitation.
In March 12 members of the men's club agreed to have their heads shaved by the highest bidder raising £1396 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

In October, over 70 club members ran the Sheffield TenTenTen for Teenage Cancer Trust raising £3355.
We donated over 100 tins and non-perishable food items to the Harvest Appeal for the Cathedral Archer Project.
For Movember - which tackles prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention - the men's club all attempted to grow the best moustache while the women's club bet on who they wanted to win, raising £306
We currently have over 30 club members signed up to the Blood donation drive at the centre in Sheffield.
During lockdown the we ran/walked the distance of 1234 miles from Sheffield to Croatia (where our TOUR was due to take place), men vs women. We raised £2365 for the Cathedral Archer Project and Sheffield Women's Aid, which are two local Sheffield charities tackling homelessness and domestic abuse.
20/21 Season
Despite COVID preventing the club from organising fundraising events, we raised over £1,000 throughout the year for various causes.
In October, the club participated in Wear Red Day raising £130 for Show Racism the Red Card: a charity dedicated to anti-racism education.
In November, the club donated over 120 tins of food, as well as more food and hygiene products to Harvest Appeal for the Cathedral Archer Project
The club raised £411 for the Cathedral Archer Project by sleeping rough for a night.
In March, club members completed walks and runs raising £204 for Mind: a charity supporting those with mental health issues.
By wearing pink to training, we raised £112 for Coppafeel: a breast cancer awareness charity.
21/22 Season
Last year over 70 club members ran the Sheffield TenTenTen raising £1,691
