Social Hockey
We are passionate about offering opportunities for everyone, no matter their ability or circumstances. Social hockey is for anyone who has never played hockey or who hasn't played in a long time and wants to give it a try in a social, friendly, non-competitive environment. It is a weekly mixed session open to everyone regardless of your gender, ethnicity, beliefs, experience, or skill.
Our social hockey training sessions run on Monday evenings
at Sheffield High School for Girls which is a 5 minute walk
from the University Endcliffe flats, and 10 minutes from
the Ranmoor flats. It is run by our Social Sport Co-ordinator
Mae, also known as (No Ragrets/Raggy). I’m the social sport coordinator for this year. Social sport is open to anyone looking to try hockey as a complete beginner, or enjoy some casual playing. Social hockey is a great way to enjoy the sport without being majorly committed. We train weekly at the Girls School, along with attending Wednesday night socials at ROAR with the rest of the club. We occasionally play matches and it’s all a bit of fun! For any questions email: mewallace1@sheffield.ac.uk
